Coperes (Cooperation for the Promotion of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in West Africa) recently participated in the first edition of the Forum on Technological Innovations in Renewable Energy (FITER), organised by ANER (National Agency for Renewable Energy), the Assane Seck University of Ziguinchor and PESEREE (Programme d’Etudes et de Suivi de la Réglementation de l’Electricité en Afrique de l’Ouest) This forum took place from 23 to 26 November 2022 in Ziguinchor, Senegal.
The FITER was created to promote technological innovations in renewable energy and to encourage exchanges between actors in the sector. It brought together experts, researchers, academics and industry professionals to discuss the latest developments in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Coperes is an organisation that aims to promote the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency in West Africa, working closely with governments, businesses and civil society organisations. He was therefore a natural choice to join the organising team to set up this event.
